Teachers on the Ghana Reads Programme in Fanteakwa on the 31st of July 2015 benefited from a one-day boot camp on literacy organized by OLE Ghana with support from World Vision Ghana, Fanteakwa ADP. The camp was held at Busosu Presbyterian school. It started with a general assembly of all participants at exactly 9.15 am.

To mark the end of the Ghana Reads pilot programme in Ga-West, OLE Ghana has at a small ceremony handed over the Ghana Reads Programme to the Ga-West Municipality. This was done to not only mark the end of the two-year pilot but to also ensure that the Ga-West Municipal office and education directorate as well as the schools take over the running, sustainability and expansion of the programme in the municipality.

As part of the contract signed with World Vision Ghana, OLE Ghana was tasked to deploy Ghana Reads to four schools in Krachi West. These four schools are Kwaakue D/A primary school, Kpatchu D/A primary school, Abujuro D/A primary school and Gyengyen D/A primary school, all found in Krachi West. Like all Ghana Reads deployment, the OLE Ghana team spent a week from the 22nd to the 29th of February 201 in Krachi West to administer the initial training and also set up in the schools.

OLE Ghana with the help of World Vision Ghana has deployed the Ghana Reads Programme in two more schools in the Sekyere East District of Ghana. This brings the total number of schools on the Ghana Reads Programme in Sekyere East to four schools. The news two schools that have been brought on board are Nyamfa Salvation Army primary school and Odurokrom Primary school.

The All Children Reading (ACR) sponsored component of the Ghana Reads program officially came to an end in December 2014. The ACR program was carried out in 20 schools in Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions. OLE Ghana has been meeting with stakeholders to start actualizing the post ACR phase of the program. One of such meetings took place at Ga West Municipality where the program has 15 schools.
