Open Learning Exchange (OLE) Ghana in partnership with African Storybook Initiative from South African Institute of Distance Education (SAIDE) had a workshop on Storybook creation from 1st to 4th August, 2017 at the National Science Resource Centre.  The workshop introduced thirty Ghanaian teachers to the African Storybook (ASb) initiative as they explored how they could use tools and resources on the African Storybook website to develop their own stories for use with their pupils.

The teachers selected by the end of the four day workshop had developed ten manuscripts in ten Ghanaian languages namely Asante Twi, Akuapem Twi, Fante, Kasem, Dagbani, Ga, Ewe, Damgbe, Nzema and Mampruli.  The workshop was facilitated by Lisa Treffry- Goatley (African Storybook publisher),Dorcas Wephukulu (Kenyan Country Coordinator, African Storybook), Ms. Florence Siaw Offei (Headmistress, Christ the King Academy) and Mr. Kofi Essien (Executive Director, OLE Ghana).
